buybuildingsupplies.com.au is a division of FJ Mancer Trading Company PTY LTD (ABN 90 000 949 084) and is the natural progression from it’s earlier trading days, starting out over 38 years ago by a commercial builder, Fred Mancer (Senior) selling building materials as Buildex Trading Co. – with a single warehouse and store in Brookvale on Sydney’s northern beaches.

There has been many advancements in the types of building products available in the last 20 years and it was quickly seen that there was a need for a service that provided detailed information on the new products available and in assisting in locating professionals to install these products – As such, the Northern Suburbs Building Information Centre was started in 1996 to cater to this, containing two floors of product displays and a brochure hall with over 2,000 different brochures for manufacturers.

By offering this same service online for the sale of materials the physical restrictions to the amount of products that could be displayed was removed as well as the geographic contraints of the customers and areas that were able to be serviced.

The freight costs shown are per delivery, not per item, so would normally remain the same for 1, 2, 10 or 20 items unless noted otherwise from that one supplier. This also means that any other goods in your enquiry from the same supplier would not incur an additional freight cost.

We don’t actually deliver at all. We have over 200 manufacturers within our materials mall from all over Australia and they each have their own limitations as to where they can deliver to.
